Eric Hamilton

Eric Hamilton is a Certified Business Advisor for the Small Business Development Center at Summit Medina Business Alliance, Inc. (SMBA) in Akron, Ohio. Eric’s experience as a small business owner enables him to be a knowledgeable resource to potential SBDC clients.

Prior to joining the Summit Medina Business Alliance, Eric was the owner of Hamilton Sign Company (formerly Signs By Tomorrow) for 16 years. In his capacity as owner of the business, he oversaw the day-to-day operations. Also, his responsibilities included developing & implementing marketing campaigns, developing financial strategies, and maintaining existing customers and prospecting for new customers. His ability to call on that experience is invaluable in counseling the SBDC clients.

In addition to his entrepreneurial endeavor, Eric worked in Business Development for Fortune 500 companies, IBM and Merrill Lynch.

Eric has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Penn State University.  He also holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), concentration, Marketing from The Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western                                                                                                  Reserve University.
